By buying A/C car air conditioning re-charge kit you can probably save hundreds of dollars each summer and fill up the ac system by yourself. Dodge G. Caravan uses R-134A refrigerant.

Once you go through ac re charge process once, it will literally take you few minutes to do it again on any other vehicle or the next summer. If your system has a leak, you can try using stop leak product which could take care of smaller ac leaks. For bigger leaks you will have to take your van to a licensed shop to diagnose it.
