Today I'm going to show you how you can add an electric power steering system to any car or vehicle. The advantage of using a Prius electric power steering system or other adaptive electric steering is simplicity. Unlike hydraulic power steering, an electric power steering conversion only requires 3 wires (power, ground and 12volt on) so no messy hydraulic lines to worry about. The Toyota electric steering systems are widely available on ebay and can usually be found for around $250. Alternatively you can use electric power steering from a Kia, Hyundai and even Nissan.

The EPS system I chose is from a 2014 Kia Soul. This DIY EPS conversion is perfect for muscle cars or any other system that lacks power steering. I knew I needed the EPS conversion on the dune buggy when I used a faster steering rate and now its like a new buggy.
