“The offshore wind industry represents billions of dollars of opportunity both in terms of manufacturing, installations, and supply chain. There’re huge opportunities for states,” Gulf Wind Technology CEO James Martin says.

Among the potential benefits of a robust U.S. offshore wind sector and supply chain: $12 billion in private investment, 49,000 new manufacturing and supplier jobs. Tracey Butts, who trains offshore wind technicians in Virginia, agrees, saying, “It’s endless, the amount of jobs this can and will create.”
