Amsterdam has several historic churches, each with their own history and architecture. They are all an important part of the city of Amsterdam, most going back hundreds of years. We will visit six of Amsterdam's churches: Oude Kerk (Old Church), Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), Westerkerk (Western Church), Zuiderkerk (South Church), Noorderkerk (North Church), and St. Nicholas Basilica. Many of these churches feature stunning grand organs and you'll also see hundreds of gravestones in the floors of the churches, as well as beautiful stained glass windows, plaques, pews, and memorials of famous Dutch people. I saved the youngest and most ornate church for last, so please join me as we explore the churches of Amsterdam!
