Sarah is 1 of only 400 people known to have a rare genetic condition called M-CM. She communicates by playing clips of old cartoons that are relevant to her thoughts. Sarah's family has embraced this style of communication and often listens to these clips to understand what Sarah is thinking.

M-CM is short for macrocephaly-capillary malformation.
