In this video, I show the complete start to finish process for replacing the zipper slider on my Aero Leathers Highwayman. I was a complete beginner approaching this task.

In what I feel is a great customer service stance, Aero Leathers will send a replacement slider if yours breaks.

In my case, the pull tab on the slider was completely pulled off by the previous owner. The area at the base of the jacket where two layers of thick leather come together creates a bottleneck over the zipper. Hasty zipping without care, or pulling at the end of the pull tab rather than the base are the two most likely reasons for the break.

Each step took longer than I hoped, but in the end I replaced the zipper slider and the jacket zips now!

Taking a little time and holding the pull tab at the base made for a smooth zip.
