Follow Police Officer Vivian Raygoza (SFPD, San Fernando, CA) to see what a day in the life of a Police Officer looks like on Halloween night. Officer Raygozas' night ranges from calls of two men fighting in a parking lot, possible trespassing, searching for a Code 37 (stolen car), multiple traffic stops, a Code 3 response, and some CRM (Community Resource Management) with costumed trick or treaters. The night is full of lights and sirens as Officer Raygoza embarks on a long 12-hour shift, from 6 pm until the sun comes up at 6am. As of 2021, a study showed that less than 15% of police officers in the United States are women. Officer Raygoza is one of the 13.3% and gives viewers a unique perspective of her day in the life from the time she starts her morning to the time she leaves the police station and ends her day at home (with a stop in the morning at the stables to visit her horse Duke).
