In case you're wondering, it's "Four-By-Eee", you know, like four-by-four? Whatever you want to call, it'll give you around 25 miles of electric range and middling fuel economy after the battery has been depleted. Assuming you're the average American driver and you plug it in every day, the combination will consume less gasoline and extend your range, but as with all PHEVs, fail to plug it in and you might spend more on gas than just going with the base engine.
