Martin Truex Jr. dominated at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Monday. It was his third win of the season and second in the last five races. With the win, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver firmly established himself as one of the frontrunners to make it to Phoenix for a shot at his second Cup Series championship.
After the race, Truex and crew chief James Small were celebratory in Victory Lane. Interestingly, the crew chief unexpectedly brought up his driver's potential retirement in an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio's Claire B. Lang. The reporter then followed that up by asking the driver his thoughts on the subject. His emotional response sure sounded like 2023 is his last Cup Series season.
