Corona Arch was hands-down the BEST hike we did in Moab!

In Part 3 of our Utah vacation, we take a family-friendly hike to Bowtie and Corona Arch. This hike is 3 miles round trip and is kid and dog-friendly. We had to scale the side of the canyon where footholds were carved out of the slick rock, and then climb a small ladder as well, which added to the adventure (both of these could probably be done independently by children over 5 years old). Since these arches are tucked away a little bit we only saw a couple other people the entire hike; when compared to bumping into hundreds of people in Arches National Park it felt like we almost had the whole place to ourselves!

Corona Arch was the site of Devin Supertramp's "World's Largest Rope Swing", but swinging from many arches in Moab isn't allowed anymore due to too many accidents. It is such an impressively beautiful arch!

The easiest way to get to the trailhead is by going 10 miles west on Highway 279, which is a turnoff just north of downtown Moab. Keep your eye out for petroglyphs along the drive! There is a clearly marked parking lot and trailhead on the right side of the road, across from the Gold Bar camping area.
