Welcome to another edition of The Pace Report featuring pianist, composer, and educator Giorgi Mikadze. For over 25 years, Giorgi has made a name for himself backing and playing with the likes of Roy Hargrove, Jack Dejohnette, Lee Ritenour, and Dave Liebman. The Tbilisi, Georgia native left his country to play jazz music here in America.

Recently at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City, Giorgi played new music from his album "Face to Face: The Georgian Songbook Vol. 1" which is a tribute to seven revered Georgian composers from film and theatrical soundtracks. The album features French bassist Francois Moutin and drummer Raphael Pannier.
