My return to utv racing was bound to happen sooner or later but I never expected it to be on this level. Let's be honest, I missed the rush of racing after being out of the sport for 6 years. So I decided to race my full body Polaris RZR Pro XP long travel in stock class for the 2024 SRRS Season. Well that was before I found a deal on a hydro steer turbo RZR buggy on FB Marketplace. I made the deal, brought it home, and that is where the real work began. Thanks to Max Off-Road for doing the tear down, roof rebuild, ISP seat mounting and reassembly for me to make this all possible. We took this old school rzr buggy from 64" wide to 72" wide with some ORB Fabrication long travel and RCV Pro Series Axles and Ball Joints. Then we threw on a set of 30" Kevlar Moto Race Tires wrapped around forged KMC beadlocks. We finished it up with only days to spare before taking it to G-Force Racing Technologies in Tennessee for some shock tuning and then it was race time. Watch me battle my way to the Southern Rock Racing Series season opener at Windrock and fight new build gremlins along the way. My first race did not go as planned but we did our best and laid down a competitive time. I guess this is the return of our Extreme UTV series.
