When the Paulinskill viaduct was opened in 1910 it was one largest concrete structure in the world until 1915 when Tunkhannock viaduct in Pennsylvania was completed at more than twice its length. But the Paulinskill has its place in history as being one of the first of very large viaducts to be built.
