This is the penultimate tale from 'The Innocence of Father Brown' (1911) and is rather a curiosity in that nothing very much appears to happen, but we get to learn a little more about Father Brown's methods and the lines he draws etc. It's an atmospheric walk through the frosty woods with his old friend and former criminal Flambeau.
