Disney’s Lightyear movie included only the best of voices for their roster of character’s. Everyone from Chris Evans to James Brolin - had the resume credits to convince casting. With a little behind the mic moments - and some great stories - we’ve been able to put together a little list of the cast and their amazing experiences during the process. Ever seen an actor corpse in the booth? We’ve got ya covered.
With Disney Pixar seeming to roll out classic after classic - it’s no surprise they’d return back to an iconic character. We all know and love the character of Buzz Lightyear - and so did the cast. Well - most of them. Chris Evans had some pretty big and confusing shoes to fill. Confusing in the respect that - he’s commemorating Tim Allen’s Buzz but - Evans is playing Allen’s Lightyear’s origin story. You know what? We’ll just halt the confusion there. Casting really wanted a lot of fan favorites in this one - of course they’d need Uzo Aduba to play the role of Alicia Hawthorne! Some of the cast - might have not been trusted with lines - or just stayed out of the limelight. All in all - they can put this one in the books as a success - and pretty cool experience if you ask us. But how did these actors approach their roles? How difficult was it for some of them to transition to voice acting?
