This is Chris and Shelly Baggot. Their world was turned completely upside down when they took their little boy, Lincoln, to the doctor and they were told he had a large mass on the back of his tongue. During an MRI to diagnose the problem, the mass was punctured and Lincoln bled so much that he went into cardiac arrest and was given CPR for ten minutes. The mass was blocking his airway so they had to do an emergency tracheostomy to keep him breathing. When they got Lincoln stabilized, their worst fears were realized. Lincoln had stage 3 cancer. For the next 3 months Lincoln underwent chemo and radiation treatment, but the mass kept growing and the cancer had spread to his lungs. The surgeons had to perform a high-risk surgery to remove the mass. Chris and Shelly were told Lincoln might not survive the operation. Then, they received the miracle that they and their Fellowship Church family had been praying for! The surgery was 100% successful at removing the cancer and the nodules in his lungs had miraculously disappeared. Lincoln was given the nickname of “The Miracle Baby” by his doctors because he had less than a 1% chance of survival after the diagnosis, and now he has been cancer free for over a year.
