With modern EVs, Range is a luxury. While charging at home is an option for many, the ability to drive long distances without concern for your range makes traveling in an EV even easier. That's why Lucid Motors worked so hard to deliver an EPA estimated 520 miles of range with their Air luxury sedan; A number that puts them over one hundred miles past the competition. And while that may seem hard to believe, this claim was recently independently verified by @InsideEVs US 's Tom Moloughney who drove an Air for almost 8 hours at a constant 80mph, but even Tom didn't drive it until the battery was totally dead. For this video, we wanted to know how much farther it could go.

At the end of our testing, we couldn't quite travel farther than one-off prototype vehicles but we successfully traveled farther than any other production EV has traveled on public roads on a single charge officially beating the record previously held by @Sean Mitchell & @DÆrik :    • 600 Hypermile In Tesla Model 3! World...
