Today I review the NEW Orange Dreamsicle Frosty from Wendy's that was just released today, 3/19/2024! ($2.49)

In the past, Wendy’s has offered some other tasty limited-edition flavors, including a seasonal Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint Frosty. And now, it’s back just in time for spring with a new, nostalgia-inducing flavor with the Orange Dreamsicle Frosty.

The limited flavor will launch on Tuesday, March 19 (which also marks the first day of spring) and will temporarily replace the Vanilla Frosty flavor. (As Wendy’s shared in a press release with media outlets, the chocolate flavor will still be available throughout the Orange Dreamsicle’s run).

“The Orange Dreamsicle Frosty is a unique spin on a familiar flavor, packing a spoonful of sweet orange notes combined with the classic smooth vanilla Frosty for a dreamy orange cream experience,” a company spokesperson shared with Nation’s Restaurant News. “The eye-catching orange color of this delectable treat was inspired by the spring season.”

The flavor, however, wasn’t only inspired just by the treats of our youth. John Li, the Global VP of culinary innovation at Wendy’s, shared with Today that this particular dessert flavor was also inspired by a favorite fragrance.

“I normally don’t do this, I’ll usually bring in food props, but I actually brought in something else. This is actually the cologne I wear,” Li said while holding a bottle of Sephora’s Tangerine Boy. “Tangerine Boy is a good example because they know that citrus is something that should be celebrated as a part of spring. We take those same exact elements that people are searching for and put it into food form.”
