This action-packed martial arts movie depicts the exploits of the founder of Tai Chi, Chang Zhang Fong. After finding secret manuscripts in a Shaolin temple, he becomes an expert in the Crane and Snake styles of kung fu. When the local baron, passes through a town and is nearly assassinated, he employs a disgraced monk with an axe to root out the offenders. Swordsmen and thugs clash in a series of battles that lead to a thoroughly intriguing plot.
