Follow along on the 3rd stage of my 2021 bike touring expedition. On this trip I'm following the Ohio River Scenic Byway from Pittsburgh, PA to my home in southern Illinois. It took me 12 days to cover the 775 miles along the Ohio River. There's plenty of industry along the river as well as lots of historic pretty little river towns waiting to be explored. Mix that in with stretches of awesome roadway in the Ohio Valley to make for an epic bike touring adventure. From Pittsburgh, I took the Montour trail and clipped the panhandle of West Virginia on the Panhandle trail. From Wheeling, WV I followed the Ohio River through Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.
