Joseph Campbell studied the legends of people all around the world, and found that behind them all, there was only one basic story: the hero's journey. In this video we explore how you can discover the hero's journey in your life (by noticing synchronicity and following your bliss). As told through the legend of King Arthur.

Joseph Campbell wrote that they key to uncovering your hero's journey is to "follow your bliss." He wrote that when you follow your bliss, doors will open to you where there were only walls, and these doors open for you, where they wouldn't have opened for anyone else. He described this as a feeling of being "helped by hidden hands." This bears a striking similarity to Carl Jung's concept of synchronicity, where an inner state of mind, coincides with an event in the outside world. Synchronicities are "meaningful coincidences" that are connected not through cause and effect, but by meaning. When you follow your bliss, you will experience more synchronicities.

Why is living your hero's journey and personal legend so difficult? Fear is what often holds us back. And yet, Campbell wrote that "the cave you fear to enter, holds the treasure you seek."
