In this second episode of The Art of War, Sun Tzu teaches that war is based on deception, manipulating the enemy's perception through dissimulation and illusions. A great example of this is Hannibal's double envelopment and Montgomery's use of inflatable tanks during World War II. Tactics such as divide and conquer, surprise attacks, and decoys are effective. Spies and intelligence are crucial, as is strategic deception, which can be applied in various areas beyond war, such as politics and business.
