There are many different ways to effectively chop samples on the MPC. In this video, we'll dive into one of my processes for chopping jazz samples. Because this is such a simple process, it is a great way to instantly start generating ideas whether you’re a beginner or seasoned producer/beat maker.

For this beat, I used the MPC Live II as the standalone tool to flip the samples, including drums and melodies, and the Korg Monologue to sequence the bass line.
