Poem:
Stop the shock
Why are you shocking kids
The only crime they are guilty of is being different
Of having a disability
Of being autistic
But you choose to give them electroshocks
To force them to behave ‘normal’
But what is normal even
I don’t think there is such thing as normal
You’re hurting them in the name of therapy
You act like you’re helping them
But you’re killing them
You’re breaking their spirits
Just because they’re different
Does not mean they are less
It does not mean that you get to treat them Like you are doing

It does not mean you get to torture them for your liking
And no one is stopping you
Because it’s ‘only autistic kids’ right?
No one fucking cares about autistic people
No one does
We’re nothing but property
Nothing but an annoyance
Something that has to disappear
Something that has to be murdered
Exterminated like vermin
But we have feelings
We have a heartbeat
Blood coursing through our veins
We look like you
We just don’t act like you
We are who we are
And we deserve a chance to LIVE!
