The year is 1971. While available in a plethora of colors, accented by Wimbledon White roofs, the Bronco’s are a classic two-tone design. However, this year, a new color is introduced to the lineup. It’s called Prairie Yellow, and, alongside 16 other colors, including the likes of Chrome Yellow, Sky View Blue, Seafoam Green, and Calypso Coral, its pastel shade fits right in.
Back in 1971, the brochure stated “Bronco is an adventuresome breed of four-wheeler that can get up, over, around or through all kinds of obstacles that would stop the others. The key angles of approach, break-over and departure have been maximized to give optimum off-road freedom and mobility.” This holds true even today. The new Bronco is built upon this heritage and, thus, is a key competitor to the best known purpose-built off-road vehicle, the Jeep Wrangler.
Fast forward 52 years, and we see this color combo appear again; except, instead of Prairie Yellow, it’s now known as Yellowstone Metallic, and, alongside the Wimbledon White grille, wheels, roof and body side stripes, it’s on a Bronco. Specifically, the Heritage Limited Broncos.
Not too long ago, we reviewed a Yellowstone Metallic Ford Bronco Sport Heritage Limited Edition, and today, we take a look at the other version. The 2023 Ford Bronco Advanced Heritage Limited with the Sasquatch package. This package adds revised suspension geometry, beefy 33” Good Year Territory tires, locking front and rear differentials and sway bar disconnect.
Our Bronco Heritage was built on November 1st, 2023 at the Michigan Assembly Complex in Wayne, Michigan.
