I made a Kaonashi costume for this upcoming Halloween! I love Miyazaki films, and Spirited away is such a wonderful and widely known film, No Face was just the perfect choice for this Halloween.

The materials I used are mostly things found laying around the house, but otherwise they are all super cheap even if you don't have any of it! I'd say if you buy most of the stuff (besides the sheet set) at the dollar store you can easily make this for less than $25 USD which is the same or less than most terrible quality pre-made costumes you get at big box stores. Plus, you can reuse the bed sheets since they are not altered in any way.

It took me about a day and a half to make the papier mache pieces, including painting and drying time. If you need a last minute Halloween costume idea, this is definitely possible to make within 2 days, but the paint could potentially still be tacky in such a short time. You can always follow the same steps but instead of papier mache-ing the mask, cut it out of flat cardboard. It won't have the same effect, but it'll do in a pinch.

Hope y'all have a lovely Halloween season!
