Knight Rider, even the most futuristic 80s car of its time had its start somewhere, and although the car's official name is the "Knight 2000" many would go know it from day one simply as K.I.T.T (The Knight Industries Two Thousand).

Starting off as a stock 1982 third generation Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, this icon of 1980s American television, took the world by storm and had continued to inspire and has remained part of pop culture 40 years after it was first introduced to us on prime time television.

Here at MFP we take a look into the build and changes of KITT as it was modified to meet the high demands of the action packed show, where even its theme song is still remembered fondly even to this day and has been replicated across the globe by many fans who this car holds a special place in their hearts.
