The most unfortunate thing about the name "Lethbridge" is that the viaduct itself, is not named that.

As was tradition, Lethbridge was named after some weird* coal guy as a bribe to get him to visit (?) our city. Anyway, it didn't work, he didn't visit, but for some reason we still kept the name. (Probably mostly from stubbornness & an inability to admit we made a bad decision... relatable!)

I have taken to calling the viaduct (longest/tallest train bridge over water) IN THE WORLD the "Leth-bridge" out of again, pure stubbornness (& of course, a generalized love for Lethy)
