Becoming an Influencer on YouTube isn't just for the young. I managed to hit the benchmark of 4000 minutes and 1000 subscribers, yes ONE THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS on my 52nd birthday !

I started making videos on my old Apple iPhone SE just about 1 year ago. They are, frankly, terrible. But it was a rich learning ground for me. I bought a new mic (£40) and a cheap tripod (Amazon Basics) for about £25 with a phone holder (£25) and I used that kit right through to today, where I now have a GoPro to help with additional shots.

I learned how to use Adobe Acrobat but the first videos just used Apple iMovie as a simple editor. Bit by bit my skills started to develop both in the editing suite and in the camera craft. There is still a long journey but I see this as a long term project so I'm happy that every day is a school day.
