Strengthening the muscles around the shoulder girdle can be important when recovering from a shoulder injury. The serratus anterior muscle is an important muscle as it stabilizes and controls movement of the shoulder blade. It keeps the blade connected to the back side of your rib cage and helps to pull the blade around and upwards along the rib cage. There are many exercise options to activate and build strength and control of this muscle. In this video, we’ve displayed a few of our favourite options.
