In this debate, we look at two sides of the debate about whether homework should be banned in schools. We start with looking at our hypothetical character named Aubrey and how she has a very full plate, with everything from her social life to the responsibilities with her job and being on the track team, yet homework is weighing down on her mental health. Then we look at four reasons that people might argue for homework followed by four reasons for why people might argue against homework. Then we look at a some research that has been done on the effectiveness of homework and what homework should look like. At then end, we briefly touch on a couple examples of how some school districts that tried homework bans in elementary school.
