With tight budgets, and only a tiny number of Hero ship models, the designers of Trek had to get creative to flesh out the fleets of Starfleet, turning to the old faithful technique of Kitbashing ship models, i mean they could just reuse the same ship over and over again, I’m looking at you Miranda-class and Excelsior-class!!!!
