Despite being disappointed in past Disney live-action remakes, I’ve been holding out hope for The Little Mermaid ever since they cast Halle Bailey in the role of Ariel. Halle has an amazing voice, and her rendition of “Part of Your World” is probably the best song from any of Disney’s live-action remakes yet. The soundtrack to the 2023 version includes versions of most of the classics from the original, as well as several completely new songs!
