The Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde is a retired supersonic turbojet-powered passenger plane that is also sometimes referred to as supersonic transport. Jointly developed and produced by Aérospatiale and the British Aircraft Corporation, it was first flown in 1969 with the plane entering service in 1976 and continued commercial flights for 27 years.
