How to turn a steel water trough into an above ground pool with a sand filter.

*Please note: Between minutes 1:00 - 3:00, our backyard chickens decided to start laying eggs and their accompanying squawks can be heard. To make light of the situation, we added a graphic chicken pop up in post-production. We realize the chicken squawking is distracting. Due to the many comments about the chickens, and visitors not being able to find pertinent info about the video, we are now moderating comments so that visitors can easily find information about stock tank pools. If you leave a comment solely about the chicken noises or graphic, we will remove it.

Here are the things that we used to make it work. Before you buy from Amazon, be sure to check with your local pool supply company. We found better prices on several of the things we needed from our local pool store.

The pump we used is this one: https://amzn.to/2WWDT27

The outlet and valve that we used: https://amzn.to/2Zv6Io4

The additional shut off valve we used is this one (only comes in a 2 pack and you only need one) https://amzn.to/3ebap6u

Sand for the filter: https://amzn.to/3ghBTJt

The hole saw we used: https://amzn.to/3bUQIyd
