In an interview, Gege Akutami (the mangaka of Jujutsu Kaisen) revealed an unused idea for the series: jujutsu sorcerers can opt to bypass the need to eat, drink, urinate, and defecate. A gastrointestinal cursed energy based 'bug' would be inserted into a sorcerer's stomach (through the mouth, one would hope). Presumably, urine and food waste are reprocessed by the bug to refuel the host's physical body enough to maintain proper metabolism and homeostasis.

Akutami did not specify whether these gut bugs were cursed spirits repurposed for symbiosis with sorcerers or the shitty shikigami of some cursed technique. My bet is they would've been a type of simple shikigami summoned via a cursed tool (like barriers, simple shikigami do not require an innate technique to cast). Whatever they are, these 'special bugs' allow jujutsu sorcerers to go on long missions without needing sustenance and bathroom breaks.

Why did Gege dump this hypothetical lore? Did JJK really need more crappy discourse? Gege writes weird shit sometimes, but I never foresaw Akutami cursing us with a LITERAL shitpost. I'm relieved this cursed concept was never excreted into the pages of the manga, but in the spirit of shitposting, taking the piss, and passing on curses, I'm gonna take this figurative bowl movement to maximum output and discharge a brown flash!
