Considering the popularization of abolitionism and the House Resolution (HR 40) to study reparations, this dialogue with the CSSJ Carceral State Reading Group analyzes the cases of Fred Hampton (deceased Dec. 4, 1969), Botham Jean (deceased Sept. 6, 2018), Atatiana Jefferson (deceased Oct. 12, 2019) and Rodney Reed (stay of execution Nov. 15, 2019) to explore radical traditions in, and future trajectories for social justice.
