Lots of you guys love Phone Rebel cases. I get it, the Gen 4's were awesome. But how about the new Gen 5's? I've been testing my iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max cases for a month now and here's my verdict:

Great cases BUT not the best.

Product Evolution

-Gen 5 shows the most change, shifting from smooth to chunky.
-Notable changes include a metallic logo, microfiber inset, and metal camera lip.
-Questioning the compatibility of Gen 4 with cable cutouts.

Usability & Design

-Accessing the iPhone is easy with Gen 5.
-Noticeable design changes are floating buttons and pronounced corners.
-Cutout issue: many cables don't fit.
-Raised corners aid in handling the phone.

Grip & Finish

-Gen 5 has a much grippier texture but feels worse than Gen 4.
-The finish scratches easily, a major downside.

Materials & Build Quality

-Impressive build quality, with seamless fit and metallic accents.
-Challenges with the case's finish and scratch resistance.

Protection

-Gen 5 offers robust protection, with rigid structure and oversized corners.
-Less TPE used compared to other models and previous generations.

Conclusion

-The case is decent, but pricey at $70.
-Includes a quality screen protector.
