Sometimes submitting a credit card application can be a nerve-wracking task. But I will explain rules and other tips you should know about to make you feel more confident.

It is well known that getting your first Chase credit card is always the hardest. Not only do I want you to get approved for your first Chase credit card, I want you to have no problem getting any Chase card. But once you get your first card with them, the rest usually come a lot easier.

For your first Chase credit card focus on these 2 things:
- Credit Score
- Length of Credit History

These 2 factors are some of the main reasons why people get rejected on their first credit card application with Chase. Ideally, you should have a solid credit score all of the time. But before you apply for a Chase credit card, make sure your credit score is 680 or higher.

You can see how to easily increase your credit score here:

Your credit history length is the trickier factor of the two. One way to increase your credit history length is to become an authorized user on someone else's credit card account. The more reliable and effective way of increasing your credit history length is to get another credit card under your own name. I would suggest getting 1 or 2 credit cards outside of Chase BEFORE applying for a Chase credit card. I would recommend holding this credit card for 3 - 9 months before applying for the Chase credit card.

On top of those two factors you will need to remember the following Chase application rules to help keep getting those Chase approvals.

- 2/30 Rule
