Know your worth and value, and NEVER accept a batch without a customer tip attached. Instacart is a luxury service, not a necessity, and therefore you should be tipped, accordingly. Too much risk and chance to rely on a customer tip, post shop.

Do a quick mental math to access the batch amount and number of items, along with miles. To ensure profitability, my rule of thumb is don't accept less than $1.00 per item and make sure you stay within a five mile radius for drop off. It will take patience and passing on the lemons.

Speed is also key. The lower your speed, the more batches you can complete, which will make you more money and keep your hourly wage, as high as possible.
