I have always wondered about MLS fandom. I fell in love with soccer, football for most of you, through the World Cup. I played FIFA for years, became obsessed with Football Manager, and started making videos about it. Then I started making videos about soccer stories. The game has become my life, but I’ve never had a club, and MLS is my league, I always wanted to know what it was like.

So, we went to find out. The Hudson River Derby between New York City FC and New York Red Bulls. We wanted to connect with fan groups and get a feel for the experience from the inside, but I would have never predicted the story we would find. I think those are the best kind of stories. The ones that sneak up on you, surprise you, and challenge you. This did all those things for me.
