Greta Thunberg first learned of the climate crisis when she was just 8 years old and spent years researching the severity of climate change before getting involved in local movements and protests at the age of 12. She attributes her hyperfocus and “outside-the-box thinking” to being on the spectrum, viewing her diagnosis as an advantage for addressing the current climate crisis. On today’s show, Greta explains why Asperger’s is her “superpower” and how it contributes to her climate activism. “It helped me see things in a way that others might not see and it just helps me be different,” says Greta. “…I think that is something to really be proud of, that you are different.”
