Oven not heating properly? In this episode of Repair & Replace, Vance shows how to test and replace the temperature sensor in an electric oven. The temperature sensor is a heat sensitive resistor, also known as a thermistor. The control board uses the resistance to determine the temperature inside the oven. If the sensor is faulty then the temperature will be off as the oven might overheat or underheat. As well it can prevent the oven from working. This video shows how to test the temperature sensor with a multimeter and how to install a new sensor.
