The film opens in Vietnam in 1991 during a stormy night. International assassin Moody Dutton makes his way through the rain to a building. Once inside, he discovers a room filled with corpses—a grim scene from a gang massacre. Amidst the chaos, Moody encounters a scared young girl in a closet, holding a gun that misfires. He disarms her, helps her out, and names her Anna before leaving with her.
