As a global leader in 3D Volumetric Display technology, Voxon has created the world’s most advanced 3D imaging technology. Voxon’s flagship product, the VX1 is the first fully integrated commercial volumetric display designed to produce rich and detailed 3D images without the use of headsets or glasses.

Where other 3D display technologies use multiple views of a scene to create a stereoscopic view, Voxon technology physically builds a model of the scene using millions of points of light. The result is a fully interactive digital "Hologram" that can be viewed from any angle, without special glasses or headgear. The “brain” of the VX1 is the “Voxon Photonic Engine”, an ultra-high-speed spatial light modulator and highly optimized volume rendering engine. This combination of hardware and software is capable of projecting over half a billion points of light every second into physical space. By working closely with Intel, Voxon has achieved a blistering frame rate of 4000 fps on an Intel NUC NUC11PAH PC running an 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU.

To deliver a Volumetric Display that is portable, yet powerful, Voxon chose the Intel NUC PC range of hardware powered by the Intel Core i5 processor range. In order to maximize the performance and endure 100% utilization of
the available CPU cores, Voxon enlisted the help of Intel's VTuneTM Profiler into their development framework. This helped Voxon identify opportunities such as Intel® Streaming SIMD Extensions (Intel® SSE), Intel® Advanced
Vector Extensions (Intel® AVX) and Intel® Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (Intel® AVX2), which unlocked the full potential of the available hardware.
