In this video I show the 3 most common cuts on a tile saw. The straight rip, the "L" cut, and the "U" cut. I show how to use a D2400 wet tile saw to make all three of these cuts in a porcelain 12x24 tile. 12x24 tile is probably the most popular tile format, and not all saws will cut these tiles easily. By knowing how the saw blade works and using plunge cut action, beginners will have much more success.
The rip cut is the most common, and is used to make cuts against a strait wall or window. The "L" cut is commonly used to cut around walls, shower niches, and windows. The "U" cut is mostly used for cutting around door jambs and walls.
Please wear proper safety equipment such as eye and ear protection while operating a tile saw.
