Today I show you how to remove a Intake Manifold on a 1.6 1990 Mazda Miata!

The process is overall pretty simple but one thing to look out for is the coolant that come out when the intake manifold is removed! Make sure to have a pan under your car to catch the extra coolant that falls out!
Step 1: Start off by removing the throttle body cable. It is pretty easy just twist the throttle body and take the cable out the side.

Step 2: remove the intake tube which is held on by a clamp and also a hose underneath to the left.

Step 3: remove the air solenoid on the top of the intake manifold held on by 4 8mm bolts.

Step 4: remove the fuel rail. There are two bolts holding it down and also two lines you will have to disconnect from the regulator and also the rail itself.

Step 5: Once all of this is taken off begin to loosen the 9 bolts connecting the intake manifold to the engine block. MAKE SURE TO PUT A PAN UNDERNEATH TO CATCH COOLANT!!!

Step 6: remove any misc hoses still attached to manifold.
AND YOUR DONE!! As simple as that!

I hope this helped you guys out! If it did make sure to hit that like button and subscribe for more Miata content!
