This video is about a 5 year boy with CP and his family who have been unable to find appropriate motor interventions in their native country. Over the course of 3 weeks, Mark is taught how to relax his body which opens the door for many new physical motor milestones.

Mark's story can reframe our perspective of spasticity in children with CP.. Can somatic experiencing and neuroplasticity help them overcome some of the symptoms (i.e. spasticity, tightness, lack of coordination) that seem inextricably linked to Cerebral Palsy? Through ASP, our experience is a strong affirmative—we believe that children, if given the proper care early enough in their lives, can greatly reduce and even eliminate CP symptoms that have seemed intractable in the past. This film illustrates there is still many exciting, unexplored areas to treat children with CP. It is also a testament to the courage and power of family to help a child with CP face the daunting task of learning about his own bodymind.
