A former senior executive at the Post Office has said didn’t “knowingly do anything wrong” but has apologised for the “devastation” caused by the Horizon scandal.

Angela van den Bogerd, who worked in various roles at the organisation over more than three decades, has been described as the person in the organisation who knew more about Horizon than anyone else.

In her opening statement to the inquiry, she said she hoped her evidence would provide the answers sub-postmasters and their relatives were seeking.
