The film was shot entirely on a smartphone.
"smarthome" was made in 2019 as Vincent Eckert's filmschool application film at "Filmakademie Ludwigsburg", a renowned German filmschool. He was successfully selected for the camera class. I wrote and directed this short.

The film was also screened at many smartphone filmfestivals around the world and even got selected by the "Snowdance Independent Film Festival" for its short film competition.

"As a young couple moves into their new smart home, the house and its gadgets turn against them. A deadly battle between man and machine begins..."
